Vortex VL/B W Engine

The Vortex VL/B W is a 100cc water cooled two stroke reed valve engine that was used in the Inter Continental A (ICA) class from 2001 onwards. Based on its crankcase design it is probably a water cooled version of the VL95 ICA engine. Possibly it was only homologated after water cooling became allowed in CIK 100cc classes after the turn of the century. The VL/C W model of the same homologation period looks very similar, but the VL/B W can be recognized by the shape of the crankcase. While the VL/B W crankcase looks like the VL95, the VL/C W's cooling fins resemble the VL98 air cooled crank case.
