Formula A
Formula A (FA) is the CIK/FIA class for 100cc rotary valve non-gearbox, direct drive engines as it was run up until (and including) the 2006 season, after which the arrival of the 125cc KF classes spelled its demise.
It differs from ICA (Inter Continental A) in the fact that ICA used reed valve engines instead of rotary valve. FSA (Formula Super A) was largely the same as FA, except in Super A the regulations were more lenient on tuning of certain areas of the engine.
