IAME Parilla PV100 Maxi Engine

The IAME Parilla PV100 Maxi is a 100cc two stroke piston port engine that was used in the Inter Continental A Junior (JICA) class. It can be recognized by its 49.88mm original bore, as opposed to the PV100 Swift, which has a 52.40 original bore. The cylinder head is anodized in dark green (although this may wear off over the years) and marked "IAME SUD". On earlier models of both PV100 types, the intake manifold is straight and there are no air guiding wings present on the barrel, while later models (with "VO" designation) have the intake manifold slightly angled upwards and do have blue plastic wings.

CIK/FIA Homologation: 296 / M / 09, File:IAMEPV100-MAXI-HOMOLOGATION.pdf
Ignition system: Selettra, but PVL fits on a 93.95mm backplate.
Spark plug: Heat range similar to NGK 9 for cold weather and NGK 10 for normal to hot weather.
Carburetor: Walbro WB32.
Clutch: Horstman 98 (EXPD-IV) single disc dry clutch.
Main crankshaft bearings: 6205, C4 clearance.
Oil seals: FPJ (teflon) double lip, 35mm O/D, 20mm I/D, 7mm thick.
Piston: Must be a piston port piston with the ring gap symmetric in the middle of the piston. Normal 100cc (rotary- or reed-) pistons put the ring gap over a port, with ring failure as a result. Vertex still make these pistons in the 2602 series. Piston-bore clearance must be 0.09 to 0.11mm (replace at 0.12 to 0.13mm), hence for a 50.00 bore, a piston must be used that measures around 49.90 on the micrometer. Do not blindly trust what the manufacturer puts on the box. For example, an IAME 50.02 piston is (depending on the color of the dot) actually around 0.09 to 0.10mm smaller, since IAME uses bore diameter instead of piston diameter. Always check with micrometer calipers and bore dial gauge before installing a new piston.
Piston pin: 14mm O/D, 39mm long.
Piston pin needle bearing: 14mm I/D, 18mm O/D, 16.5mm wide.
Big end pin: 18mm O/D, 46mm long.
Big end needle bearing: 18mm I/D, 24mm O/D, 14.8mm wide.
Big end thrust washers: 18mm I/D, TBD mm O/D, TBD mm thick.
Connecting rod: Part number: IAME F26. 100mm with 18mm small end hole and 24mm big end hole. Thickness is 15mm on both ends.
Crankshaft: Part numbers: IAME G13 E10390 (ignition side), IAME G13 E10385 (clutch side), SM24 (18x46mm crank pin).
Exhaust: Rectangular, 42mm x 25mm, exhaust manifold studs are M8 and 68mm apart. Exhaust flex connection is 50mm diameter. Quite possibly gaskets and manifolds for the IAME X30 can be used on this engine. The X30 exhaust manifold mating face seems similar.
