Inter Continental A Junior
Inter Continental A Junior (JICA) is the CIK/FIA class for 100cc piston port non-gearbox engines for junior drivers as it was run up until (and including) the 2006 season, after which the arrival of the 125cc KF classes spelled its demise.
It differs from ICA, apart from the drivers age group, in the fact that ICA used reed valve engines instead of piston ports. Furthermore, the JICA junior class engines were equipped with a Horstman low stall clutch, which prevented the need for push starts. However, this made an external battery operated starter necessary.
